Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipsticks

These are one of my favourite purchases from a recent trip to Belgium with my school. Melissa told me that I had to try them and that they were really good so I picked up two. They were also on 2 for €5 so that was good, I think they were about €3 individually.
I think the packaging on these is gorgeous and they look like they would cost a lot more than they did! I love how they have imprinted Catrice on the lipstick and I think more brands should as it makes me want to buy them - yes really.
The first shade I picked up was a cute coral called Princess Peach - Mario Kart? - I have to admit I am a bit of a sucker for a coral and probably have enough now but I just love them! The formula was very moisturising and it was comfortable on my lips. The lasting power was reasonable but you do need to re-apply after a few hours like you would with most cheaper bright lipsticks. The colour pay off was good however you do need to build it up a little more than normal lipsticks but I think this is because of the moisture.

The second is called Frozen Rose 130 is a light Pink shade and according to Melissa I look like a barbie when I wear it? Either way it's a little bit lighter than I thought it would be when I picked it up in store but it is different to anything I have bought before. I like how the colour is buildable  and that you can dab it on your lips to make more of a sheer stain look which is good for the hot weather when a bright lipstick might just melt off your lips! Again it is moisturing, which as I said I like and also needs re-touching after a while. I think if you suit light colours then this would be perfect for you!

Post 4: Favourite Nail Polish's of all time!

Now I purposely didn't put a number for this like 'top 5' or top 10 because I just know I will end up going over or something like that!So these are the nail polish's that when I thought 'favourite' they came to mind. In total there is 14 which isn't too bad but still there is a lot to get through so lets begin!

Starting off with the blues, I have China Glaze Frostbite. A shimmery in your face blue which is very eye catching. I do lots of school fairs and paint other people's nails and this shade is always popular. Although it's an old one, coming from the 2007 Ski Collection, it's definetly one of China Glazes finest. The formula is thin and not too sheer (2 coats in picture) and drys with a semi matte finish. I always like to put a glossy top coat over this like Seche Vite but for the purpose of showing the polish finish I haven't in the swatches. I am still yet to find a dupe for this but I don't think I need to unless it's discontinued because at £6.59 it isn't going to break the bank.

Yes Love is a brand I found in a Chineese shop whilst on holiday in Spain a few years ago. The polishes were only about 1 euro so I just picked a few colours I liked the look of and this happened to be one of them! Shade 070 is a light purply blue which in the bottle appears to be an average blue but when swatched I just think it looks amazing. Again it has a semi matte finish but I feel this leans more to the matte side than the China Glaze polish. If you use a thicker coat you can get away with one and the drying time is amazing for a cheep unknown brand. Over all this has to be in my Top 5 of all time!

Collection (2000) Electric Dreams is a perfect dupe for OPI Fly (see blog post comparison) and I love the colour of them. The fact that this polish is only £1.79 also makes it a brilliant buy for someone of a budget! The opacity is average for Collection and with two coats is fine. I find this colour perfect for the summer and it drys fast too which is good.

Barry M Ridley Road is part of their Textured Effect range and although it's the Green shade I think it looks a bit more blue. I am definetly a fan of the effect and think it's really cool if you want something interesting on your nails but can't be bothered with nail art. The minty blue shade also is perfect for Spring/Summer and I think I will wear is a lot this year. At £3.99 it's one of Barry M's more expensive polishes however this effect is hard to find for a cheep price tag.

Orly's Gumdrop is the only Orly polish I own as they are very hard to find in the UK, however some Larger Boots stores stock these 'minis'. I personally think the £5 for 5.3ml is a rip off but never the less the colour is beautiful! The coverage is average, streaky on first coat but by second it's fine.

NYC Manhatton is one of my favourite Winter polishes. It has the perfect Plumy-purpleness to it -if that's even a word- with a hint of rasberry. The colour drys fast and is opaque with two coats which is good for a £1.79. Overall I just think this colour is easy to wear and a quick fix during the winter which is why I love it so much.

Shocking Pink by Barry M is just a classic hot pink, there is nothing special about the formula I just love the colour and think it is something any nail polish enthusiast needs in their collection. The formula is a little thick and drying time isn't great but loads of brands do this colour and it's just a matter of finding one that's good for you.

OPI My Address is Hollywood is the first OPI Nail polish I ever bought, coming from the Touring America collection in 2011 (now in the permanent collection). It's a medium pink with a subtle golden shimmer which makes it hard to dupe. I think this looks great all year round and as with all OPI polishes the drying time is quick and the formula long lasting. The finish isn't glossy nor matte but with a good topcoat it looks very pretty.

Barry M Bright pink just screams Barbie to me, it's just so bright and girly! I love the colour and haven't found a dupe yet for it however the drying time is quiet bad and the formula is thick. This looks cute in the Spring and Summer, I do think it's too much for the winter but you could give it a go!

Onto Glitter/Shimmers! The first one is from L'Oreal and it's part of their latest collection they have released. I don't know what to call it because it isn't a glitter so I am just going to go with the name and call it a confetti. Either way I have never seen something so unique from a drugstore polish and it reminded me of some Indie polish I had seen on Instagram. The confettis are in Big & Small and Black & White, there is also a slight sparkle if you look closely. I just love how cute this looks over any colour (Swatched over Barry M Mint Green).

This is the only Butter London nail polish I own and it is amazing. I love how the glitters aren't just Pink but Blue, Red and Gold as well it makes it very hard to dupe and looks stunning on your nails. Although it's expensive at £13 its so pretty.

OPI Rainbow Connectio has to be one of the most beautiful Nail Polishes ever to grace this planet. I mean just look at it for a minute. It's stunning. There is 3 different size hexagonal glitters in about 6 colours (it's hard to count!) and at first not duped. Now there is several brands who do exact dupes like Nicole by OPI and Milani but I still think the credit should go to OPI for the original. It instantly adds glam to any nail look and I would wear it all the time if I didn't only have one bottle!

Sephora, Sephora, Sephora, why you not in England Sephora? :( I picked this polish up whilst holidaying in Paris last summer and I now wish I picked up 10, I absolutely love this! The flakies trend never really hit UK brands (much to my dismay) and so when I saw this I just had to buy it. It is so unique, the colour looks different over each polish but my personal favourite combination is over the Yes Love in 070 (Swatched).

I found myself on FleurDeForce's blog one day just looking through her posts and came across this, I had never seen such a beautiful shimmery nail polish ever! However this is possibly the sheerest polish I have ever seen too with three coats in the Swatch I usually put it over a navy blue.

So that is all of my Favourite Nail Polishes! I hope you have enjoyed reading this and have a good day!
