NOTD - Galaxy Madness!

 So I've been seeing this kind of style of nails going around for a while now and I don't really know what to call it so its being named Galaxy Madness!

The Nails Inc Polish in Basil Street (shown in picture) was used as a base for my middle finger then just a black nail art pen for the design. I like the eye shape in the middle as it has a mystical feel. The actually galaxy nails I used so many different colour to make it look this way but i'm still not 100% happy with it so I added a holographic glitter (from H&M) to it which I think adds something extra.

Long time no see?

So then, I know its been quiet a long time since I last posted which is quiet shameful and I was really starting to get into blogging. Basically when I went back to school they decided to give us a piece of homework per lesson per week which sounds strange but basically I had no time at all free! Or if I had like 30 minuets spare I would try to make a video as my YouTube is my main priority.

I can now promise you that I will be uploading more posts this week as I finally have some free time:)

MUA Undressed Palette Review!

Ever since I heard that MUA was releasing a new palette I've been so excited to get it. When I saw how similar it was to the Naked palette (which has been on my wishlist for quiet some time) I just had to have it. I already have the Immaculate palette which is great quality for just £8, so I knew the eye shadows would be pigmented. It was on offer for £3 (normally £4) which was just a plus.

 The packaging is a look nicer than the Immaculate palette as there are no gaps around the shadows which makes it look more expensive. The simple opening closing clasp isn't very secure as mine has popped open a few times but its not that much of a problem. I like the design of having a little window, It would make it easier to tell which palette is which if you had a few. The back of the palette has a mini master-class, which is a cute idea. The shadow numbers aren't the same as the individual eye shadows which is a shame but is handy if you use it in a tutorial.

I love the shades for the everyday look, you can create so many different looks with this. I always start with the MUA Pro Eye Primer which really makes a difference and boosts the colour. But without they are still great pigmentation for a £4 palette. I have very oily eyelids so they do crease without a primer. Shade 3 & 5 are both Matte and look amazing in the crease. In the picture of the swatches I used my finger to apply but they apply well with brush's too. 

Over all I'm in love with this palette its such an amazing bargain and even though I haven't tried the Naked Palette I think it would be a good dupe. I think its worth every penny and to be honest I would have payed twice the price for it!

DUPES ~ OPI Manicurist of Serville & 17 Ruby Gem

As you may know I love finding 'drugstore' Dupes for High end Polish's. OPI is my FAVORITE polish brand ever so as it breaks my heart to find drugstore dupes I want to share them with you. Manicurest of Seville is actually my Mum's polish but she had it on her toes the other day and It reminded me of 17's Ruby Gem. Ruby Gem is a polish found only In Boots&Boots.com but you may find this little gem on eBay. It retails at just £2.99 compared to OPI's prices of around £12 in the UK this is an amazing deal.

On first coat they both apply well with good coverage, the brushes are very similar too. Drying time is also similar but OPI drys first.

Second coats are again almost identical but OPI is a tiny bit deeper, however it would not be noticeable unless you looked really hard!

If I had to re-purchase one I would choose Ruby Gem as the Price is much more affordable and the quality is just as good.

DUPES ~ OPI Did It on 'em & Collection 2000 Look at me

The Nikki Minaj Collection was one at first I thought would be pretty hard to Dupe but I have been pleasantly surprised finding dupes for two of the colours. The First I have done a whole video on which was Fly duped by Collection 2000 Electric Dreams and now I have found a second dupe for this collection also by Collection 2000. Did it on 'em is a hard shade to describe as its sort of between a green and yellow which is why I thought It would be hard to Dupe. Collection 2000 Look at me has the same 'problem', for just £1.79. 

In the Bottle they both look the same colour. My OPI mini has just 3.75ml on the other hand Look at me has 8ml.

First Coat, both exactly the same coverage. Because Look at me is a fast dry polish it has the advantage  as it obviously drys just a bit faster that the OPI. You could get away with either just on one coat too

After a second coat is applied it is still hard to tell between the two as the coverage is just identical The brush on Did It on 'em as its a mini is very pathetic but if it was a full sized the brush would be just as good as the wide brush of Look at me.

If I had to re-purchase one of these it would defiantly be Collection 2000 Look at me, even though I'm absolutely in love with OPI the price difference (£1.79 to £12 for full size) is just too much for a polish which is so easy to dupe.

Sinful Colours: All Mighty

So as I know the summer is yet again coming to a miserable end In England. I wanted a polish to attempt to brighten up the miserable weather! I was scanning my collection for a light, bright and summery colour and I found this little gem. Sinful Colors which is more widely available in USA, is very cheep and affordable. I found mine in a £1 land store but I haven't seen them since which is a shame as I was quiet impressed by them. The prices online vary from £0.50 to £5.00 so if there's a colour you fancy them make sure you do your research!

The shade All Mighty reminds me of the sea, a shimmery blue/green with a very slight glitter. The application was okay but sheer on the first coat, I used a total of 2 coats in the pictures. A glossy finish but I would still use a top coat for a glossier finish. The brush wasn't the best but if your patient it does work.

I wanted to mess around a little with the colour to see what looked good so here is what I came up with:  George Matt Finish (Thumb), George Jackpot (Index Finger), Easy Paris Glitter (Middle), Essie Oui Madame (Ring Finger), Claire's Glitter (Baby finger). I think the George Glitter and the Claire's glitter looks the best. but all of them are nice.

Collection 2000 Skyscraper Mascara

When this mascara was first released I was quiet curious, it seemed very good for such a cheep makeup brand. I didn't buy it though as I had a mascara that was in need of using up, but when I saw it in poundland I just couldn't resist. The RRP is £4.99, you can find it in Boots, Superdrug, any place that sell Collection 2000. I noticed they had the waterproof one too but I find it hard to remove waterproof mascara so I just picked up the ordinary one. I could only see a Black one but im sure they do brown too.

The wand has two sides with different length brushes, the short side reminded me of Max Factors False Lash Effect, which is my favorite mascara of all time. The longer end I was a bit cautious of as I have long lashes without mascara and I didn't want them to look to long. The first coat would usually be enough for me but for this post I wanted to show you what it would look like with two as well.

I thought the packaging looks quiet expensive for a 'drugstore' brand, however the skyscraper makes it seem a little cheesy. the shape of the bottle is nice and I like the colour scheme. It would have been nice with less text on the bottle for even more of a simplistic feel.

Overall I do really like this mascara, not too sure if i would pay £4.99 but for £1 I really cant complain! The formula is nice and doesn't flake and the brush is really nice. Could this be my new favorite mascara? Let me know if you like it?
